Patrick Sherwood
Founder
I’m a senior embedded systems engineer with over 15 years of experience designing and shipping products across hardware, firmware, and the space in between. My work spans low-power wireless devices through complex embedded platforms, with a career spent focused on the real-world details that determine whether products succeed outside the lab.

Over the years, I’ve led hardware design and board bring-up, debugged production failures, architected firmware platforms, and helped teams move fragile prototypes into systems that can actually be manufactured and supported. I’ve worked inside fast-moving startups and large organizations alike, as well as in consulting roles, and I’ve seen firsthand how early technical decisions ripple into major problems later if they’re not made carefully.
Why I Started EmbeddedCorp
EmbeddedCorp exists because too many teams are forced to learn hard lessons the expensive way. In large organizations, those lessons are often buried under layers of process. In small teams and startups, they’re learned through painful delays, rewrites, or failed launches.

I built this firm to bring senior, hard-earned experience to the front of the process—to help teams make the right decisions early, solve the hard problems while they’re still cheap, and ship products that actually work in the real world.
How We Work
EmbeddedCorp is intentionally small. Clients work directly with experienced engineers, not through layers of management. Engagements are focused, pragmatic, and outcome-driven—whether that’s defining an architecture, rescuing a stuck project, or getting a product across the finish line.

If you’re building an embedded product and want a steady, experienced hand on the wheel, we’d be glad to talk.
